START OF PART 7
(see also DICOM Mailservers)
- FAQ about email access to internet services:
To find out more, fetch the relevant FAQ from the mailserver
at "mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu" with a message body:
send usenet/news.answers/internet-services/access-via-email
Or ftp it from "ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/news.answers/internet-services/access-via-email"
- Ftpmail:
Ftpmail is a service provided by some extremely generous
sites that allow you to send ftp commands to them by email
and the server executes the commands and sends the results
back. Very few sites offer this because of the huge load
and potential for abuse. I only mention it here because a
lot of medical imaging people don't seem to have anonymous
ftp access.
To find out more, fetch the relevant FAQ from the mailserver
at "mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu" with a message body:
send usenet/news.answers/ftp-list/faq
The most commonly used site is "ftpmail@decwrl.dec.com" (send
"help" (no quotes) in the message body).

This list is not actually gated to "sci.med.physics",
though Trevor often reposts significant items.

- PET Mail mailing list - Positron Emission Tomography:
PET Mail provides news and information of interest to
the PET (Positron Emission Tomography) imaging
